One of the most authoritative international exhibitions of Army Equipment and safety technologies "IDEX-2007" will be held on the 18-th till 22-nd of February in Abu-Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) where more than 1000 companies from 50 countries will present their expositions.

More than 100 official delegations including heads of states, Ministers of Defense, Heads of Headquarters and Armies are expected to take part in "IDEX-2007".

Holding Company "AvtoKrAZ" jointly with Streit Armored Group Company, a famous manufacturer of armored vehicles, will present multipurpose armored side-truck Raptor MTTV on KrAZ-6322 chassis with 6x6 wheel arrangement.

Multifunctionality of Raptor MTTV means that it can transport military manpower as well as can be used as medical evacuator and the vehicle for material, technical and military purposes.

KrAZ-6322 Raptor has high cross-country ability. Owing to its 6x6 wheel arrangement, blocking of cross-axle and interaxle differentials and wide-section tires the vehicle can cross quick sands, marshy ground or snow cover. KrAZ-6322 Raptor can operate at the temperature ranging from -50 to +55?C at high humidity and in dusty regions at the altitude up to 4600 m above the sea level.

Full mass of the vehicle makes 23 t, payload is 6 t. The vehicle can tow trailers with full mass up to 30 t. It is equipped with 330 h.f. turbocharged diesel engine. Two fuel tanks per 250 l provide cruising range in 1500 km.

KrAZ-6322 Raptor provides with ballistic protection along the perimeter, protection against mine explosion and hand-made explosive items and fragment protection of driver and passengers in the cab and in the body. The vehicle can safely transport up to 20 members of crew and equipment. The armored module has side and rear view windows providing good field of view.

Many firing ports located on each side and from the rear and some hatches allow returning fire in combat.

The vehicle is climate-controlled. Crew compartment is provided with complete protection, it is equipped with seats with fast release safety belts. The vehicle is equipped with Intercom system between driver and crew.

KrAZ-6322 Raptor is going to take part in roadormance trials to be held every day from 14.00 to 15.00 on the testing area. Obstacle line contains large hill with height 5,2 m, 10 rolling hills (with height up to 2 m, the distance between hills tops is 6 m), water ditch with depth 1,5 m and length 25,7 m, concrete humps, rough road, ramp and others.
